Elizabeth A. Ivey obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Hawaii William H. Richardson School of Law in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1980. She graduated from Seabury High School on Maui, Hawaii in 1972. A sole practitioner from 1993-2005, Ms. Ivey formerly worked for Mukai, Ichiki, Raffetto & MacMillan and Foley, Maehara, Judge, Nip & Chang.
Ms. Ivey is on the Board of Directors for Hale Makua, the YMCA, Friends of the Library, and was formerly on the Board of the Maui County Council Boy Scouts and Hui No' Eau Visual Arts Center. She is member of the Maui County Bar Association.
Ms. Ivey is admitted to the Supreme Court of Hawaii and the federal United States District Court in Hawaii.
Ms. Ivey practices primarily in the areas of estate & tax planning, elder law, special needs, and post-mortem administration.
Rhonda M. Fosbinder obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 1994. She received the highest award in legal research and writing from California Western School of Law, and graduated Magna cum Lauda and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Arizona-Tucson in 1989, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry.
Ms. Fosbinder is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, and the Maui County Bar Association, has been appointed to the Maui County Council on Aging, and serves on the advisory board of Ipuka I Ke Ao.
Licensed in both California and Hawaii, Ms. Fosbinder is admitted to the Supreme Court of Hawaii, the Supreme Court of California, the federal United States District Court in Hawaii, the federal United States District Courts in California (North, South and Central), and the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Ms. Fosbinder practices in the areas of estate & tax planning, elder law, special needs planning, business formation and succession, trademark, and post-mortem administration, and contested matters in those areas.
James H. Fosbinder obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979. He was on the Board of Directors of the Maui County Bar Association from 2000-2003.
Mr. Fosbinder is licensed in California, Hawaii and Wisconsin (inactive in Wisconsin), and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Hawaii, the Supreme Court of California, the federal United States District Courts in Hawaii and California, the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, the federal Second Circuit Court of Appeal, the U.S. Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court.

Richelle M. Thomson obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Hawaii William H. Richardson School of Law in 2007, cum laude, with a certificate in Environmental Law. She was awarded the Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing award for Best Environmental Law Paper in 2007, and has published other papers in that area. Ms. Thomson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Hawaii Manoa in 1990, became a certified California paralegal in 1993, and obtained a Hawaii real estate sales license in 1983.
Ms. Thomson practices in the areas of estate & tax planning, domestic partner law, real estate, and post-mortem administration, and contested matters in those areas.
