North Shore View Looking South Toward Wahiawa & Honolulu

Barnfield's Raging Isle Surf & Cycle is located on the North Shore of Oahu. The North Shore is well known for its excellent beaches and world class surfing waves. For decades the North Shore was a hidden treasure, known to only select surfers who would come here to challenge the huge waves that pound these shores from September through April. Nowhere else in the world are there more world class surf spots crammed into 7 miles of white sand beaches that consistently deliver the largest ridable waves in the world.
But surfing is not all that the North Shore has to offer. The off-road biking here is world class and the trails are easily accessible from our shop or most anywhere on the North Shore. There are several excellent trails within 10 miles of the shop. Ride along the shore at Kaena Point. Or make the 2,000 foot climb in 3.5 miles, up to the top of Peacock Flats. Then work your way down toward the western end of the island along the Kuaokala Trail and descend back to beach level via the challenging Kealia Trail. Or immerse yourself in a rainforest jungle on the Kaunala Trail where you can pick strawberry guavas and passion fruit as you ride.
After riding or surfing make your way back to Raging Isle which is located in the "North Shore Marketplace," a unique oasis in the center of Historic Haleiwa Town. Where an unusual balance of merchants and eateries is mated with the North Shore's relaxed "country" atmosphere. Raging Isle sits to the left, behind the buildings fronting the highway. It is a large grey building with bright yellow trim and awning. You can't miss it.

Haleiwa Town, is located on the North Shore of Oahu, well known for its excellent beaches and world class surfing waves.

Haleiwa, is easily accessible from anywhere on the island in about an hour. From Honolulu area, take the H-1 west to the H-2 and follow it over the center of the Island past Mililani Town to Wahiawa, At Wahiawa the Freeway ends and becomes the smaller two lane Kamehameha (Kam) Hwy "99". Follow Kam Hwy "99" through or around Wahiawa and right on past the Dole Pavilion on the right side of "99" about a mile past Wahiawa. "99" will continue further North West and downhill toward the turnoff into Old Historic Haleiwa Town. There is a new bypass road around Old Haleiwa so look for the brown signs indicating were to turn left off of "99" and the bypass road, at the stop light. After turning left off of 99 stay to the right as the old road veers into Old Haliewa Town. About a mile into the town, watch for the only Stop Light Down Town. On the right side of the road, just after this light, is the North Shore Marketplace (blue area on map). Turn right into the Marketplace and look for the large grey building with the Bright Yellow Awning toward the back of the North Shore Market Place. We are the building just to the left of Cholo's Mexican Food.

RAGING ISLE is the exclusive retailer of FIREWIRE Surboards on the North Shore. We carry a large stock of the most popular models. We are also a Demo Center with several different models for you to try before buying. FireWire Surfboard's, Future Shapes Technology, features flex memory and rapid rebound. PARABOLIC balsa wood rails flex at the start of a turn storing energy and rebound all the way through the turn, releasing built up energy in the form of speed. The spring back of the PARABOLIC rails to the original rocker triggers a rapid acceleration, like an arrow shot out of a bow. Combined with the composite materials used in sandwich construction, PARABOLIC balsa rails eliminate material fatigue and ensure that FIREWIRE Surfboards maintain their long lasting "twang-like" sensation.
