Beyond Fashion, The Personal Art of Ed Hardy
Exhibition Dates: Nov. 4th - 27th, 2010
Worn world-wide by celebrities, rock stars, and the fashion-conscious, Ed Hardys tattoo designs have become icons of style. Long before and beyond the fashion is his continuing pursuit of fine art in new media. His new layered paintings in Lucite combine traditional tattoo elements with his Asian brush-style paintings. Traditional pure white Japanese porcelain serves as a flawless body for his cobalt underglazed devils and surfing mice. Were proud to present these newest works never seen before in Hawaii along with some of his earlier original drawings, etchings, and scroll paintings.
