Honolulu Real Estate Summary:
September's numbers are continuing the trend of a market rebound for residential real estate market on Oahu. Inventory depleted again for the third consecutive month in comparison to the same time last year. Single family inventory decreased by 11.5% from last year and condo inventory went down by 6.8%.

Days on Market decreased 40.7% for SF, down to 32 days, and down 11.5% to 39 days for CND.

Oahu Median Prices:
Median Prices inched up 2.9% for SF to $622,450, and up 8,2% for CND to $335,000. This is the second month of an increase in price from the same time last year.

Oahu Closed Sales numbers:
Closed sales were once again strong with year to date numbers up 20.4% for SF and up 21.4% for CND.

Interest rates are at an all time low within the 4% to 5% range for 30 year loans into the 3% range for 15 year loans. I've been in the industry for 29 years and I haven't seen rates this low and I speculate that we may never see it ever again! If you are thinking about buying, I wouldn’t wait any longer because the rest of the buying public isn’t! I'm out there shopping and putting offers in on property so that should give you a hint that this is real. I am closing on one deal this month and still looking for something else to buy.
