We are a minority information services company that has provided civil engineering, land surveying, mapping & ocean science services since 1963. Since that time, the firm has worked on a wide range of projects throughout Hawaii, the Trust Territories and the South Pacific, serving Ferderal, State and local governments, and the private sector. Studies, designs and construction cost estimates have been prepared for over 1,000 civil engineering projects ranging in size from $20,000 to $15,000,000.
Within the past ten years, the firm has completed over 2,000 land surveying and mapping projects with the services provided ranging from topographic surveys and utility mapping for planning studies to property boundary surveys and construction stakeouts.
The firm has had an established experience base of using computers in the automation of civil engineering and land surveying design since 1971. It has a staff with more than 15 years of experience using networked multi-user computer systems. Field surveying and engineering information is electronically gathered by digital theolodites (Trimble GPS and Nikon A5). The data are then transferred directly into the computer system from electronic data collectors for further plotting and information storage. SOH, Inc. utilizes AutoCAD and Intergraph Microstation for computer aided drafting and mapping.
